Happy Father’s Day!

The S&P 500 closed the week down -0.4%, and the Nasdaq Composite dipped -0.6%. This came after what was shaping up to be a third straight week of gains, but geopolitical concerns (hello, Iran-Israel conflict!) caused an unexpected jolt on Friday, causing a notable downturn across the board.

On the economic front, May's Consumer Price Index (CPI) came in at 2.4% year-over-year, and the Producer Price Index (PPI) at 2.6%. Good news, right? Well, if you saw my recent market update video, my take is that we are in the eye of he storm where CPI will begin to look bad during June’s update, and definitely with July’s results. For that reason, I’ve already begun to increase my cash holding and taken some profits with the spikes we’ve seen in Tech ranging from Nvidia, Palantir, Nuclear sectors stocks, and all of the pure play stocks in Quantum. Definitely not advice, but it is an approach that I am taking. Where I expect some good buying opportunities over the next 3-4 months.

I’ve been in the process of selling our house, buying a new house, and planning the move in the next 4 weeks. My videos and newsletters have already been less frequent because of it, but please hang in there, and I’ll be back on track in a about 2 months. This has been the worst home purchase experience for us, and I may be making some content about all the pitfalls we’ve encountered (like the seller and selling agent not following the law and not providing required disclosures), and also a huge win….like the fact that we made an extra $100K from 3 hours of work. It sounds ridiculous, because it is. But true.
